LoadingAlien Facility missions do not need to be done subtlety, so we highly suggest bringing the big guns for these missions, and by that we mean the class. Have 2 of them in your squad, and you can tear through walls, roofs and any enemies in your way with the countless grenades at your disposal.Other than that, treat this like any other mission.
Expect heavy resistance, so make sure to move a little slower than usual. Also, don't worry about clearing every single alien, because even if you do, they just call in more.

I have been trying to finish an unmodded legend ironman game for a couple of weeks, having started over countless of times. One tactic that I haven't even thought about before is evacuating some soldiers mid-mission. In a guerrilla op mission for example, can I run to the open with my ranger, get a 100% hit with shotgun and then drop the evac grid on top of her and then get her to safety?Do all missions except the ones where the evac zone is visible at the start of mission allow calling skyranger to any legal spot? And will the mission be succesful even if I used the evac option, or does it automatically make the mission fail even if I complete all the objectives with the rest of the squad?And how about the experience for evacuated soldiers. I would assume they get at least the kills made before evac, but do they also get the partial kill experience from kills made after they left the map? A mission will succeed if you evacuate when all objectives are completed.
However, Guerilla Ops always require you to defeat all hostiles as part of the objective. You will only succeed on missions, where you have to evacuate anyway and in those the evac zone is usually fixed. So it is feasible to snatch a VIP and run to the evac zone and succeed without killing all enemies.In guerrilla missions like stealing data, you will fail, because you did not complete defeat all hostiles.Evacuated soldiers will get experience for the kills and mission experience as normal.The evac zone can be called on any mission without a fixed evac spot.Whether you can actually shoot an enemy, drop the evac zone on your ranger and get her out I don't know. Yes, but if I evacuate some but not all of the operatives, I can still succesfully complete the mission with the ones not evacuated? By 'used as a tactic' I mean for example a situation where a Sectoid is mind controlling one of my units and I could take it out with my ranger, but that would leave the ranger exposed to other enemies.
So I would evacuate the ranger (which should be possible even after using two actions), and finish the mission with the rest of the squad. I know for certain that you can move into an evac zone, shoot, and still evac even though your turn would normally be over at that point.Soldiers don't get experience at the end of a mission. They level up based on their number of kills, and also kill assists.

Kill assists happen when they're on a mission and somebody else kills an enemy. I'm not sure whether they would get credit for kill assists on kills that occurred after they evac'd or not. There's a mod out there that lets you see their kill assists in the barracks, so that would be one way to check. See.If the other soldiers finish the mission, then the mission will still succeed.I wouldn't use this tactic except in the most extreme of circumstances. You'll lose the soldier for the rest of the mission. Amnesia machine room. Perhaps if the soldier is already so hurt that you're worried they will die, and you can't heal them, then this would be a way to get a last shot in before they leave. Note that the Alien Hunters DLC (May 2016) brings a few changes with tactical impact.
In this case, it is no longer possible to drop the Evac grid over a soldier.It does still work to place the evac grid where your soldier is about to run to, let them run in their, take their rapid fire or whatever, and then evacuate.Another nifty tactic using evacuation applies in the situation if you've got one medikit soldier on a mission, but that soldier is the one who gets critically wounded and is a couple of turns away from bleeding out. You can choose one of your remaining soldiers to pick up the one who's unconscious and bleeding out, then evacuate just that one.
Your remaining soldiers will have to do the rest of the mission with a reduced squad, but most missions only have 7-12 enemies anyway.
Evac – XCOM 2XCOM 2 puts players in the role of a Commander overseeing a battlefield with turn-based strategy combat. You’ll need to call the shots and make sure the mission is completed, whether you’re extracting a VIP, neutralizing enemies, or performing any number of objectives out there.If you’re currently in a mission that has an evacuation point already set, all you need to do is stand there and hit the Evac action to evacuate. You can stand on the tip of the square, so don’t be wasting movement just to get into the center because if an alien is in Overwatch, they will shoot at you. Don’t worry if you can just barely reach it and have to use up two movement points, you can still Evac even if you’re out of movement.For missions where there is no Evac point designated, you have to complete the mission to be extracted normally. If you happen to fail one of the objectives, though, and don’t have the firepower to take on the rest of the aliens, you can set up an Evac point yourself.
Hit P on your keyboard and place the square wherever is best for all your remaining troops to reach it and get the hell out of there.

Stabilize Me! Is a medical mod. It allows you to use a medical kit to help your fallen trooper from bleeding out and dying. The mods adds a feature that many would appreciate, especially if their only medic goes down on the battlefield.10. Panic ModThis mod is another mod which improves the overall gameplay, while only adding a minute feature. Panic Mod adds a bit of sense into the soldiers. In XCOM 2 when you start shooting at enemies, they start to run to the line of fire, rather than away to a ground on the spot.
This is, no doubt, fun to look at because cowardly fighters running while being confused is seriously hilarious, but it can be a pain when you want some realistic action. One problem with XCOM 2 is that there is no at a glance information available about things. So, looking for things such as a particular grunt with the skill you require is difficult and time-consuming. Show Me The Skills puts all the information in an easy to access place: the squad selection menu.
The mod also allows you to set what can be seen here, including perks, stats, and more.13. Evac AllEvac All is another mod which sets out to make your life in XCOM 2 easier.
This is a simple mod, which should have been already present in the game. What this mod does is that it evacuates all your troops in a single click. This is achieved by a button which the mod overlays in the game.
Now, instead of clicking individual soldiers to evacuate them, a single click will do the job. With the saved time, you can get to beating more aliens.14. True ConcealmentXCOM 2 has battle timers which add a little bit of difficulty to the game. There are many mods which tamper with this timer, some making the timer stop completely, while others decreasing the timer for more grueling and difficult battles.
True Concealment, however, does not tamper with the timer, but rather makes it fair. In vanilla XCOM 2, the battle timer starts even when you are just hiding and have not been spotted. This mod only starts the timer when your first soldier is spotted. This is a nice mod which makes the timer system fairer.15. Tactical Co-opThis mod is from the creators of XCOM, and it’s an amazing mod which works perfectly with the game, as the official developers worked on this mod. Tactical Co-op brings proper 2-player multiplayer to XCOM 2. The team is working on this mod to expand it to a 12-player multiplayer mod as well.

Long War Alien PackThis is another mod from the creators of XCOM. The mod blends in perfectly and is perfect for players looking for more things to kill. The mod is well designed and the creatures in this pack even consist of Advent Troops for those who’d still like some original aliens to kill.17. Grenade Damage FalloffIn vanilla XCOM, you can solve any problem by blowing stuff up.
And as much as we love blowing stuff up, it takes away the precision and strategy from the game. With this mod, your grenades are less powerful, and barely affect the enemies on the edges of the explosion; only the center of the explosion is where the damage is.

Taking just health damage granted by the armor on your soldier prevents any infirmary time. You don’t have to take any infirmary time if your soldier’s heath never falls below the base health.
However, if your soldier’s health goes below the max base health then there will be infirmary time depending on your base health. Normally, the game considers remaining health vs total health. However, if you are using this mod then it will only consider remaining health vs base health, reducing the overall healing time in the game.19. Additional Mission TypesThe Additional Mission mod is a great mod which increases the content of XCOM 2. The mod introduces many new unique missions. These new missions provide a different experience than Vanilla XCOM. You can play a defensive mission by defending cities, neutralizing missions, and much more.
